What is Different About ChainsawChoices.com

Chainsawchoices.com was created by a part timer to try help the weekend warrior, aka the occasional chainsaw user, to choose a suitable chainsaw for use around the house, on camping trips and so on.

There are literally thousands of different chainsaws on the market. They can vary in many different ways and can be confusing or misleading for those new to chainsaws.

Here are some questions you need to answer before buying a chainsaw.

Do you want a gas driven chainsaw or an electrically driven chainsaw? What are the advantages and disadvantages of either type?

What size chainsaw do you need? Would a six inch bar be big enough, or would a sixteen inch bar be better? In fact, what is a chainsaw bar? đŸ™‚

And that is just the tip of the proverbial Iceberg.

So we attempt to highlight the good, the bad, and the plain ugly so that you can make an informed decision before buying a chainsaw. We are not going to get into deep technical issues or the nitty gritty nuances.

Our aim is to give you a practical and as balanced a view as possible. This is based on the collective wisdom and experience of other users who have owned and used the chainsaws reviewed.

We do it this way because if you rely on only one reviewer then you may well get a skewed picture of the actual capabilities of the chainsaw being reviewed.

Why you may ask?

Well, some reviewers get paid for their reviews in which case……you know the rest.

And most reviewers use the tool for maybe 5 minutes in a convenient environment and then present you with a review based on……5 minutes of usage! That’s hardly comprehensive or helpful.

On top of that, reviewing only one sample of the product leaves you open to all sorts of product inconsistencies that tend to get ironed out with multiple reviews of the same product.

This is particularly true of the fast emerging mini chainsaw segment of the the chainsaw market.

So Chainsawchoices.com is designed to do a lot of the legwork for you – all you have to do is read  and then make a decision!
